Grant Stretch Program

The McGinty Family Foundation Grant Stretch Program amplifies the work of high performing nonprofits by matching grants they have already secured from other funders.

Program Goal

To amplify the impact of nonprofit partners by providing matching funds up to ten thousand dollars when they secure approved grants from other reputable foundations, corporations, or government sources. This supports sustainability, rewards strong grant work, and strengthens partnership.

Eligibility

Registered 501 c 3 nonprofit in good standing
Aligned with at least one pillar Schools, Community, or Health And Well Being
Received an approved and documented grant from another funder within the past twelve months

Match Guidelines

Dollar for dollar match up to ten thousand dollars per approved outside grant
Match applies only to verified institutional grants, not individual donations or event revenue
One application per outside grant award
Up to two matches per year per organization

Application Process

Online form or PDF submission
Proof of approved outside grant award letter, terms, and funding amount
Organization mission and alignment with Foundation pillars
Planned use of the grant and how the match will enhance outcomes
Review by the Foundation Grants Committee and notification of approval and match amount

Implementation And Reporting

Funds disbursed directly to the nonprofit as a lump sum or according to grant timeline
Nonprofit provides an impact report at the end of the grant cycle that reflects both the original grant and the McGinty match
Stories, photos, and measurable impact are shared for potential inclusion in the Foundation annual impact report

How The Match Works

$50,000 → $60,000

A nonprofit secures a fifty thousand dollar grant. The McGinty Family Foundation adds a ten thousand dollar match through the Grant Stretch Program. Together, sixty thousand dollars goes to classrooms, communities, and families.

Quarterly

Applications accepted and reviewed during quarterly cycles.

Thirty To Sixty Days

Funds typically released within thirty to sixty days after approval.

Year End

The Foundation publishes an annual impact summary highlighting stories from Grant Stretch partners.

By standing alongside other funders, the McGinty Family Foundation helps strong organizations go further, faster.
